HYGICULT TPC Total bacterial count test (1pcs)

Hygicult contact slides are designed for rapid monitoring of microbiological hygiene and/or presumptive identification of microbes (total bacterial count, Enterobacteriaceae, yeasts, moulds and coliforms) on surfaces. The test can be performed on site or slides can be used as a convenient sample transport medium.

Note: The threshold values for microbial counts in normal drinking water are too low to be determined using the Hygicult method

About the tests

"The Hygicult TPC slide is coated on both sides with Total Plate Count agar, which supports the rapid growth of common bacteria and fungi. The test aims to detect elevated total microbial counts. Therefore, a normal level must first be established.
