Alcohols are a group of compounds containing an OH functional group. The group contains compounds with both 1 and 2 or more OH functional groups. Also, compounds in the group may have other functional groups, so that the same compound can be assigned to other groups of compounds. The properties of the substances vary from very volatile to completely non-volatile, from very liquid to solid, from very high evaporation rates to almost no evaporation.

The most popular are: ethyl alcohol, isopropanol technical spirit, glycerine and propylene glycol.
Glycerol, propylene glycol are of edible purity. They are used in bee feed, e-cigarette liquids, lubricants in the food industry, as humectants and sweeteners in food products.
Isopropyl alcohol and ethanol are the fastest to evaporate and leave no trace. They are used for degreasing surfaces prior to sticker application, painting, surface preparation for coating, bonding and cleaning of dirt.
