Alcohols

Alcohols are a group of compounds containing an OH functional group. The group contains compounds with both 1 and 2 or more OH functional groups. Also, compounds in the group may have other functional groups, so that the same compound can be assigned to other groups of compounds. The properties of the substances vary from very volatile to completely non-volatile, from very liquid to solid, from very high evaporation rates to almost no evaporation.
