Nettle extract is naturally derived and rich in vitamin C and amino acids, which nourish, moisturise and soothe the skin. Its properties can reduce the signs of inflammation, as well as help soothe redness, such as inflammatory acne. Nettle extract is suitable for all skin types. Nettle glycerite is ideal for those who choose not to consume alcohol for religious, scientific or personal reasons.

• Unlike alcohol, glycerine does not denature or render inert many biologically significant botanical components.
• Glycerol-based plant extracts help to preserve the full integrity of the original plant used to produce the product, due to the micro-encapsulation of glycerol from the extracted components and ingredients.

In cosmetics, nettle extract is widely used in skin care products for its many skin-friendly properties. Nettle leaves and roots are rich in a wide range of nutrients: vitamins A, C, K as well as several B vitamins, minerals such as calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium and fats: linoleic acid, linolenic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid and oleic acid, all essential amino acids, polyphenols: kaempferol, quercetin, caffeic acid, coumarins and other flavonoids, beta-carotene, lutein, luteoxanthin and other carotenoids. Many of these substances act as antioxidants in the body. Nettle extract is used not only to strengthen the hair, stimulate its growth, but also to stop hair loss. Nettle extract is best if you want a quick fix. The extract will also strengthen the hair and give it fluffiness. It is true that nettles darken the hair slightly, so may not be suitable for blonde hair. It is recommended that after shampooing, hair should be rubbed with the extract and left for 5-10 minutes. Then rinse well with warm water and apply conditioner. The recommended dosage of the extract is between 0,1 and 1% of the total amount of the final cosmetic product, although products with higher concentrations of the extract may be found. It is an excellent nourishing and conditioning addition to scalp and hair care products. Nettle extract is used for the following properties:

In crop production, nettle extract can be found as a natural insecticide - acaricide for the protection against aphids (apple aphids) and mites (red spider mites). Spraying the diluted extract on plants infested with aphids (Myzus, Macrosiphum, apple aphids) or mites (Tetranychus urticae, red spider mites) damages the nervous system of the pests, disrupting their feeding system and causing them to die. Recommended use: dilute with water and spray on leaves every 7 days 1 to 6 times. Can be used in the field, in the garden and in the greenhouse.
